Church Point, NS, February 21, 2017 – The Departments of Social sciences, Science, and Education at Université Sainte-Anne, in collaboration with the Dalhousie School of Nursing - Yarmouth Campus, will present two lectures by Stephen T. Ellenbogen. The presentations will focus on shame among children who are victims of family violence and community-university partnerships to promote the well-being of youth.

Church Point, NS, December 8, 2016 – The Board of Governors has voted unanimously to renew the mandate of Université Sainte-Anne Chancellor Aldéa Landry. In 2011 she succeeded Mr. Louis E. Deveau to become the fifth chancellor of Université Sainte-Anne, and will complete her new 3-year mandate in November 2019.

Colin Fraser, Member of Parliament for West Nova, today announced a $27,000 non-repayable investment to enable Université Sainte-Anne to engage a team of consultants to create an infrastructure development plan. The objective of the plan is to successfully merge new and existing offerings in the Louis R. Comeau building and the sports complex on Université Sainte-Anne's Church Point campus. The announcement was made on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA).

The format of these workshops aims to encourage interaction between the guest researcher and the public. « It’s a class more than a conference – and everyone is invited », explains Professor Clint Bruce, Canada Research Chair in Acadian and Transnational studies. « Knowing the captivating approach of Barry Ancelet, as well as his long-time connection to Acadie and Nova Scotia, he was a logical choice to launch this event. »
Church Point (NS), 15 June 2016 - On 4th June, 2016, Sainte-Anne University welcomed 20 preschoolers and their parents for a nature-themed workshop. This free activity day was funded through an Eco-leadership RBC grant from the Fulbright Canada Foundation. The activities were planned and carried out with the help of students, research professionals, and professors from the social work, social science, education, and administration departments.

July 28, 2015 – Church Point, Nova Scotia – The Government of Canada is providing $31,500 to the Société Acadienne de Clare for a monument called Odyssée acadienne de la baie Sainte-Marie and six interpretive plaques to mark the 125th anniversary of Université Sainte-Anne. This funding is being provided under the Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage program.
