This introductory course in contemporary English literature presents various fictional depictions of teaching and learning, primarily in university. From its inception, the English "campus novel" has explored the complex ambitions, actions and interactions of tertiary education. Course texts and examinations may include campus depictions of class, inequity, gender and romance, sport, self-image, and various modes of learning.
