Université Sainte-Anne awarded funds for implementation of a research winery
Church Point (NS), March 5, 2019 - Université Sainte-Anne is excited to announce that the Research Nova Scotia Trust is awarding $295,205 in funding to professors Karine Pedneault and Gustavo Leite. This funding will build the spaces and physical resources required to conduct the research activities planned in the Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada's AgriScience Program project announced last summer.

Université Sainte-Anne Positions Itself as a Player in the Agri-Food Sector with a Nearly $1M Investment
Church Point (NS), September 13, 2018 – Université Sainte-Anne is pleased to announce that Professor Karine Pedneault has received a grant worth nearly 1 million dollars, as part of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada's AgriScience Program. This funding, spread out over 5 years, will enable Université Sainte-Anne to play a key role in vinicultural research specifically aimed at achieving better knowledge of terroirs and grape varieties in Eastern Canada.

Local Seafood Sector Reels in Investments Government of Canada supports research and development initiatives on Isle Madame

Nova Scotia is Canada's largest exporter of fish and seafood, exporting approximately 125,157 tonnes of the delicious east coast delights each year. Parliamentary Secretary Rodger Cuzner was in Isle Madame today to announce that the Government of Canada, through the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), will invest $801,215 to support research and development in the seafood sector in two rural Cape Breton communities.
