As of March 2022, all COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted FR (Available in French Only) from our campuses.

Church Point (NS), September 3, 2020- Beginning Tuesday September 8, the Marcel-R.-Comeau Sports Centre will begin opening its facilities in phases. The first phase will include the weight room and cardio room (September 8), followed by the gym (September 15) and the pool (September 21). The rink will open sometime in October (date to be determined).

As was the case on August 4 when our campuses reopened, activities will not resume as normal. “All sports centre users, whether community members, students, or staff, will have to work together and adapt to new ways of using our facilities to ensure that all public health protocols are followed. The health and security of everyone remains our top priority,” explains Allister Surette, President.

Before coming to the sports centre, it is important that you familiarize yourself with new procedures in place and properly prepare for your session.

  2. Have your temperature checked
  3. Answer questions related to COVID-19 symptoms
  4. Familiarize yourself with the sports centre's new protocols

Anyone presenting with a fever or any COVID-19 symptoms will be refused access.

One-way circulation

Members will be asked to follow one-way circulation using one entrance and one exit and not turn back, for example, for a drink of water. Once you have finished your workout, you must exit using the marked exit.

Change rooms

Change rooms will remain closed until further notice. Members must change into workout clothes at home and bring a full water bottle.

Only active members will be allowed access to the Sports Centre. Members whose memberships were suspended since March 17 will have their memberships extended for a period equivalent to the closure.
