Church Point (NS), December 8, 2021 - Congratulation to Braidey Spinney, who was named athlete of the week by the Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA).

Braidey put up a strong performance on the road for the Dragons, recording a season-high 19 kills, seven digs, two aces, two assists and a solo block in leading Sainte-Anne to a hard-fought five-set victory over the Holland College Hurricanes in Charlottetown on Saturday. The team finishes the first half of the season in second place in the standings with 8 points behind the STU Tommies who lead with 14 points. Holland College and UNBSJ are in third (4 points) and fourth (2 points) respectively.

In his first year of eligibility on the court, the Yarmouth, N.S. native in his second year of academic study at Université Sainte-Anne, where he is enrolled in the Bachelor of Social Work program.

The ACAA is officially on its Winter Break with the 2021 portion of its schedule complete.
