Develop confidence and fluency in French while having fun!

Our theatrical speaking course, led by Samar Kattan, PhD, is designed to boost your self-confidence and develop your French expression skills in a fun and entertaining way.

Samar holds a doctorate in Drama Therapy, and a master's degree in Actor's Training from Sorbonne Nouvelle University Paris III. She has obtained numerous certificates in France, particularly in the fields of Therapy through Applied Theatre, focusing on personal and social fulfilment.

She is the author of the book "Drama Therapy, Actor's Quest for Self," published in 2016. Since 2003, she has been actively involved in theatre education and the use of drama for healing, serving as a university professor. As a project director, trainer of trainers, and the Founder, Director, and Trainer at Trans-Forma association, she has successfully created and led over 50 international personalized projects across NGOs, universities, schools, associations, and social work training programs.

She has created and directed 17 plays staged in various locations, followed by discussions, facilitating personal and social change through artistic expression.

New Course this Summer: Registration & Class Times

The course debuts this summer, within the Part-time program, from June 24 to Aug. 30, 2024.

Registration opens May 22, and is on a first come, first served basis.

Pre-requisite: Advanced 1

Cost

This 10-week course costs $350.

When and Where

For the Summer session, this course will be offered in-person at our Halifax campus
(Suite 100, 5657 Spring Garden Road) on Tuesday evenings from 6-9 p.m.

There will also be a five-hour workshop Saturday, Aug. 31, where a final project will be filmed.
