Microbiology researcher and Science Department professor Rym Ben Sallem will be giving a talk as part of the Science Department's Research Seminars. Entitled "Antibiotic resistance: a challenge combining public health and the environment" (Antibiorésistance : un défi conjuguant santé publique et environnement ), the professor will talk about antibiotic resistance resulting from the massive and sometimes inappropriate use of antibiotics, which poses a serious public health problem. She will also examine the current state of antibiotic resistance in Nova Scotia.
