This program prepares students for teaching at the elementary school level and offers a specialization in French as a first language.
Of the universities in Nova Scotia offering Bachelor of Education programs, Université Sainte-Anne is the only one to train teachers to teach French as a first language.
Two years in length, the program consists of 17 courses and 3 practicums.
Students must take a series of courses and participate in practical experiences that address the following five dimensions:
- the historical and current context of public education;
- human development;
- learning conditions;
- the act of teaching;
- professional obligations.
